My art work grew out of my observant character structure and a strong personal need for expression. In service to these requirements, I studied with many teachers to learn both the techniques and content of the serious artist.
Over the years, these are the things I have learned about myself as an artist:
I am reflective ....
..therefore, my work is rarely about the big things in life...large vistas, mountains and valleys, rather, it is about the small things and quiet spaces that reflect the values and observances of my daily life.
My art is also biographical...it reflects ideas, people & things personal to me.
When someone resonates to one of my paintings, the communication between myself, as artist and the viewer is complete.
